2020 Is Looking Up
It’s after 2am on a Tuesday morning, but how could anyone sleep when there’s so much going on!
You’re reading the first blog post of the PPM Australia website.
Also known as Sentinel International Australia, PPM Australia is a system of self defence designed to be learned quickly by everyday people.
The Plan
The goal of this website is to create an online presence for the PPM Australia brand. Instructors have been teaching PPM in Australia since 2013, yet there has been almost no web presence beyond social media thus far. That changes with the creation of this website.
The events page is almost completely updated to show previous seminars. Unfortunately, all training events this year were cancelled due to C19. In any case, a national events page helps communicate the frequency and location of training events to prospective students.
There is still a few things to do before this website gets shared around:

About, History, Module pages
This is the most fussy one, because they’re all very heavily tied in to the Home/Front page theme. The content needs to be succinct yet comprehensive, whilst also considering SEO and other important less-obvious factors.

Instructors page
This will be a complete list of all certified PPM instructors.
All PPM instructors are given a global number, and their own instructor coin. It is my goal to have all instructors listed on this website, however I may settle for just the Aussies to begin with.

Logo
I’ve been back-and-forwarding with a designer to get the logo finalised. Heavily based on the Sentinel International spartan helmet coin, the new logo will serve to both support the PPM brand, and also distinguish PPM Australia from other regions.

Social Media
Currently, I’m not planning to add any additional social media channels to the PPM brand. However, other instructors may be interested in taking on specific channels.

Regional Pages
Lastly, any PPM instructors with their own websites, social media pages or any other media channels are invited to have their information displayed on their respective regional page on this website.

Beyond the above, the blog section of this website will serve as a great way to share practical safety and security tips with the Australian community. Personal Protective Measures Australia instructors have trained extensively on how to deal with real-world violence, and how to anticipate and safely avoid hostile situations. It essential that the broader Australian community have access to this knowledge and experience, so that they are best equipped to keep themselves and their loved ones safe if and when violence comes knocking.
